Laser Treatment for Facial Veins & Rosacea

Modern laser technology now allows for the safe and effective removal of small spider-like veins on the nose and face called telangiectasia.  Sometimes these tiny broken veins are hereditary or may be part of the skin condition known as rosacea.

With Rosacea the skin of the cheeks and nose tends to flush easily making the veins appear more dramatic.  In time, they may turn permanently red.   Laser treatment can be highly effective in reducing the redness and removing the broken veins.

We currently use the Candela Vbeam laser for the treatment of facial veins, the redness of rosacea, and telangiectases (spider veins).  The Vbeam is a very effective method of treating these conditions with minimal discomfort, minimal risks of side effects, and little-to-no downtime

Generally, treatment of these conditions is considered cosmetic and is not covered by insurance.

Treatment usually does not require any anesthesia and is done on an outpatient basis.  Expect the treated area to look bright red (as if it was sunburned) for several days after the treatment.  Depending on the individual, an average of 2-4 treatments can generally be expected to obtain desired results.
